Firm And Flatten Your Abs

Author – Credibility and Personality

The credibility of the author is a key fundamental which should guide your decision on which book to get, which program to begin, and which mentor to follow. For, we are not just deciding on a small investment of $20-$50 on the best program guide. Rather, we are also deciding on the much larger investment of our time and energy. We want that to be exceedingly well spent! Certainly, ensuring the author and guide is knowledgeable is critical.

The author of Firm and Flatten Your Abs is David Grisaffi. He is certainly one heavily-credentialed guy. His personal strength clearly is his broad knowledge and recognized expertise. Along with certification by the International Sports Science Association, he also possesses a few more rare certifications by Check Institute, focusing on performance, exercise kinesiology, health & lifestyle coaching, and golf biomechanics. Reportedly, there are only 36 other people in the US who have this entire assortment of certifications.

One certification, however, that is missing, is one associated with nutrition. Clearly, having a solid understanding of nutrition is essential to maximizing one’s fitness results. Many have commented that David incorporates effective nutrition tips into his ebook, however for the purists in the group, not having an official certification may be a weakness in this product offering.

David’s personality comes out quite effectively and is welcomed by many. He adamantly opposes the fad-crazed media, with their efforts to get an even larger market share on the unknowing public who whip out their wallets for ‘the next great cure.’ He points out that of the $518 million spent on fitness infomercials in a year, a whopping $207 is from abdominal product – Wow! There is a war out there.

David also possesses the ability to connect will a wide range of people – from rank beginners to elite athletes of all types, from housewives to professional woman athletes, to sedentary overweight men to the leanest, most competitive man – and this ability to connect is delivered quite well in his book. If you are like most, you will enjoy the personality-laden deliver of this material.

Organization and Ability to Understand and Digest

Another factor to consider when choosing a book or program to follow is to answer the following questions:
• Does the organization of the material make sense to me?
• Is the information organized and delivered in a way that enables it to be easily understood and digested?
• Is it user-friendly (ie. Allowing me to go directly to the issue most relevant to me, without having to wade through a bunch of other stuff)?
• Are there adequate pictures to ensure I understand the exercise?

So, in a methodical way, let’s address each of the questions for David Grisaffi’s book, Firm and Flatten Your Abs.

Organization of material – The organization is tight and well-outlined. Many users comment that the logical layout helped them immensely.

Ability to understand and digest – David’s ability to take complex issues and make them seem simple is a definite strong point. Despite his love of science and knowledge of the heavy scientific research, he never let’s that get in the way of delivering the message is easy-to-understand terms.

User-Friendly Factor – With the strong organization, it does make it easy for you to go exactly to the issue you are most concerned about. The explanation of terms make is more user-friendly too.

Use of Pictures – David includes a lot of quality photographs which demonstrate the exercises and proper form. The one component which could make his book a lot more user-friendly is the inclusion of videos. None of the competitive products currently include video either, though.

Practical Application

Another factor to consider when choosing an ab program to study and follow is to evaluate the practicality of the product. Specifically, answering the following questions will be helpful:

• Is this full of theory or does it have real-world, proven practical proof?
• Are the exercises and various plans packaged and delivered in a way that you can really go out and DO right now, even with the time constraints you may have in your life? We like to refer to this as ‘chunkability’.
• Do you feel you can really accomplish this? (ie. Is it believable?)

Each of these questions are very worthy of evaluating closely. There are LOTS of books out there filled with great theories. However, does that get you a single step closer to your goals? Not at all. You, and everyone else, need very practical, step-by-step guidance. The more the guidance can be chunked into short time-capsules, the better. For, you are likely just as busy and time-constrained as the next person.

Next, it is very critical to ensure you have enough faith in the author, and in the program, for you to believe you can achieve it. Don’t gloss over this point. It is very important. Belief in the program, the author, and ultimately in yourself, will be the deciding factor as to whether you will be successful or not.

OK, with that, let’s address these issues for David’s book, Firm and Flatten Your Abs:

Practicality – David’s book is rather unique this way. Because of his strong scientific background, he offers more theory than many of his competitors. Yet, he follows this will extremely practical applications. This approach can work well for the extreme pragmatist (who will likely skip all the theory), but it will also serve well those with more inquiring minds who want to know the theory in addition to the practical implementation.

“Chunkability” Firm and Flatten Your Abs has a wide variety of exercises and workouts to accommodate those who have limited time, as well as those who have the opportunity to commit substantially more. Most will find the information, therefore, easy to digest and complete.

Believability - As mentioned when we discussed the credibility of the author, the experience, knowledge, and loads of testimonials likely will convince even the biggest skeptic that David Grisaffi is someone whom you can believe. The comprehensiveness of the program also will instill confidence. Whether you believe in yourself fully or not … well that’s another story. (Only you know that!) But securing two out of three puts you in a good position to achieve your success.

Fun Factor

This component is one many other reviewers often skip over. We believe that is a big mistake! For, committing to improving your health, sculpting great abs, is something that will definitely take a lot of effort, energy, and time. If you perceive it to be dull and full of drudgery, the changes are high you will not succeed. And, if somehow you are incredibly disciplined, and do reach some success anyways, but still feel the program is dull and boring, you will be quite unhappy. Neither of these scenarios are desirable!

Yes, ensuring the ebook and program is delivered in a fun manner is actually quite critical. Actions and goals that are perceived as fun have a huge advantage over actions and goals which do not possess a positive emotional response. So, fun is important!

David Grisaffi does add a good amount of ‘Fun Factor’ in his book. He is full of encouragement, which certainly is a strongly positive component of the book. There is no excess of humor in the book, but then again, most people don’t expect that in a fitness book. David’s sharing of his personality and encouragement will be plenty to create a sense of pleasure and enjoyment.

Bottom Line Product Review

David Grisaffi’s Firm and Flatten Your Abs is a wise choice for anyone desiring to adopt and commit to a program to truly make a change in their abdominal region and overall health. The comprehensive 128-page ebook is loaded with scientific theory and explanations, but does not compromise on delivering nuts-and-bolts practical applications and exercise to adopt. He also includes an impressive amount of bonus ebooks. The book is very strong in kinesiology, scientific sequencing, integration of exercises to help prevent injury, strategic variation, and safe progression from the beginner level to advanced. While David does cover nutrition and the importance of mindset, those areas are covered more extensively in other books. The strongly scientific foundation, the extensive experience of the author, the incredibly loyal following he has created, certainly supports the conclusion that Firm And Flatten Your Abs would be a good addition to your fitness library.
